Disaster Recovery Control Room Fit-Out $1.2M
AREA3 project managed the design and construction of the Yarra Trams, Carlton, Disaster Recovery Control room.
The works included business case development and approval, internal project and governance approvals to approach and engage with Heritage Victoria to seek overall endorsement.
AREA3 completed the full range of project management services to complete this project within the required time-frame and approved budget.
The project included the testing and removal of surface mounted hazmat, demolition works, data hall modifications, new DDA compliant fit-out including office space for x8 control room operators including new furniture to suit operators requirements, kitchen, Shower/ toilet, new utilities (power, data, mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, fire) to suit new layout and facilities. External works consisted of new carpark with DDA space, bike parking and DDA low rise lift.

The procurement of consultants to facilitate the progression and finalisation of design and approval documentation.
The engagement of a suitable contractor to remove hazmat, patch and repair as required.
Installation of new patch panels to suit data hall modification works.
Assisting client and end user to determine control room operator requirements to ensure operational and functionality is achieved.
