RMIT University, Melbourne $100M+
RMIT joined the Greener Government Buildings program in June 2010 with the aim of reducing its greenhouse gas emissions by 25% by 2020.
As project managers for the $100m+ program, AREA3 was responsible for the management and implementation of capital works required to achieve target emissions reductions.
The capital works were delivered through a contract executed between RMIT and a certified energy services contract organisation.
It was AREA3's responsibility to co-ordinate the contractors and ensure that RMIT's goals were understood, shared and implemented.
Supporting the ambitious RMIT to dramatically reduce their carbon emissions.
Identifying points of change where energy and water could be conserved.
Overseeing the implementation of new technology and construction to meet RMIT's goals.
Collaborating with experienced and inventive energy saving contractors
