metro trains project melbourne
This project was a three year secondment-type engagement to Metro Trains Melbourne. AREA3 was responsible for the project and program management of over $286m worth of major rail infrastructure.
The project comprised Stable Sidings, Main Line Signalling, Cross Overs and upgrades including new station platform and supporting infrastructure, New Signal Control Box for the main line and yard, New Train Wash Facility to wash the existing and new fleet of rolling stock, New Substation and New Train Maintenance Facility including three maintenance roads and one inspection road with in-ground lifting jacks to support six car units.
global switch data center
AREA3 project managed the design and delivery of a new data centre facility in Sydney’s CBD for Global Switch. The commission included validation phase, design phase, tender phase, early works, main works construction, commissioning and handover.
Leading the client side consultancy team, AREA3 actively managed design stage, issue resolution, complex global stakeholder relationships, in addition to the construction issues of building adjacent to an existing sensitive high reliability environment.
As the project site was located adjacent to Global Switch’s current data centre (live environment) and existing rail infrastructure, there were many risks to mitigate.
