Biological Research Facility, NSW $25m
AREA3 is currently delivering the design and build of a Biological Sciences PC2 Laboratory and Research Facility at Macquarie University in NSW. The facility has a building footprint of approximately 3496m2 and will consist of controlled environment rooms, specialist laboratory spaces, microscopy areas, administrative office space, and associated plant and building infrastructure.
This state of the art facility will provide additional PC2 Laboratory Research Space for activities associated with current research grants for:
Raising Qfly Sterile Insect Technique to World Standard - SIT plus
Centre for Fruit Fly Biosecurity Innovation. ARC Industrial Transformation Training Centre
The research and administration offices will provide working space for over 80 staff and researchers and is due for completion in August 2018.
