Often people simply deliver a project and promptly move on to the next, thinking that the project is complete. But is it really finished? Is it carrying out objectives or an overall successful project that defines completion? Simply finishing the project doesn’t mean that the project is successful.
This can only be gleaned once it has been measured against the original objectives of the client and assessed to see if any further improvement would deliver them greater benefits. This is when Post Implementation Review (PIR) becomes helpful for project manager and stakeholders.
At AREA3, we strongly believe that PIR is an important process that should not be neglected. PIR is conducted shortly after our projects have been delivered when ideas and observations are still fresh in everyone’s mind.
Not only does PIR assist with the measure of project success, but it also ensures that there is a record of lessons learnt which may help us best manage future projects. This process ensures that we can uphold our goal delivering projects that truly satisfy our clients.
